As I was sitting in lunch today, I had a friend turn to me and say “You are so patient.” I looked at her and my immediate response was to quote scripture… I stated “Love is patient, love is kind, it always protects.” Turns out, I actually quoted the wrong thing and what I quoted is just a sign my mom has on the bathroom wall… oops. Anyway, I looked up the actual verse and it states
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
This post is really just a reminder to be patient, kind, humble, and full of love for others because it probably means something to someone else.
I love that the Lord gives us his living word and we are able to interpret it with other scriptures. I am constantly amazed by how the Lord is working in me and others and I know he will continue to do that as long as we are on this earth. Remember to always love your neighbors as yourself and constantly work to love others like God has loved you. Praise the Lord!
